Willem-Jeroen Stevens and Johan Haasjes attending Global Family Office Investment Summit in Dubai.
Last week, Willem-Jeroen Stevens and Johan Haasjes attended the 10th edition of the Global Family Office Investment Summit in Dubai - a platform that continues to bring together investors, family offices and high-potential companies at scale.
The signal from the region is clear - capital is available, selectivity is increasing:
- Real estate remains active, yet investor appetite is broadening decisively into clean tech, renewables and scalable infrastructure.
- New family offices are emerging rapidly, with significant dry powder.
- Investors are exploring cross-border opportunities in clean tech and energy transition assets.
- Multiple sizable projects are seeking serious, well-structured funding solutions.
During the “Spotlight on Co-Investment Opportunities” session, moderated by Cal Evans, a broad panel including Rachit Goel, Pedro Guerra Alves, Mehsan Arshad, Ayaz Salman, Vishal Arora, Michael Loehr, Gregory Merran, and Clear's Willem-Jeroen Stevens discussed what enables companies and projects to break through. Three themes stood out:
1. Strong, execution-capable teams remain the primary investment filter.
2. Co-investment has become a core de-risking mechanism.
3. Bankability is engineered through structure, governance and clarity of capital strategy.
The atmosphere throughout the summit was notably open and solution-driven. Investors were not only looking for allocation, they were looking for collaboration. Introductions were made, challenges were matched with expertise, and in-depth follow-ups are already underway.
Our main takeaway is consistent with what we observe globally: the capital stack is evolving, blended structures are becoming standard, institutional readiness determines access. The Middle East is positioning itself not only as a capital provider, but as a strategic co-investment hub - and we're here for it!
